Heading north, the trail climbs very gradually after Lake Stevens and through to Lake Cassidy. Views of the Olympics peek through trees on the way into Arlington, where there's a connection with the Whitehorse Trail. The farmhouse neighbors the 15,000 Acre Pilchuck Tree Farm with public access to it's trails including the trail to the monument for its founder, Robert Henry Hauberg. The monument meadow has great views of the valley below plus the Sound and the islands. This is a 4.75 mile RT hike through lush meadows, planted forest trees, and a stump-filled clearing.
